What top goes with pleated, plaid miniskirts?
I'm a 14 year old girl. I've recently been inspired by Rachel Berry in Glee and Blair Waldorf in Gossip Girls so I've decided to try the preppy, polished look. I've bought a bunch of pleated, plaid miniskirts and I need suggestions about which tops would be ideal to go with these skirts. A white, button down shirt would be ideal but it's too plain; also it's summer already and I think wearing an argyle sweater or a blazer IN ADDITION to the shirt would be too hot.
For shoes I'm going to wear my ballet flats. For hair I'm going to wear my cute little barrette bow.
My only problem is with the top. Please help, thanks a whole lot!
as a teenager, you can get away with almost any fashion statement. I'd suggest a button down top of course.. but maybe some sort of plain t shirt that matches one of the colors on the plaid skirt. definately something simple. you can always add some sort of long, beaded necklace to a top if you think it's too plain. maybe a poofy shortsleeved top and vest? i'd wear the vest open, but it'd look good closed... i dont really know the styles of the people you're getting your inspiration from... i feel the need to suggest this FANTABULOUS fashion site to you- roiworld.com. its so great and lets you experiment with different combinations and garments ^_^

where can i find some cute shoes?
i saw some in a magazine. they looked just like ballet slippers, but without the special form of actual ballet shoes. they were pink with two big ribbons that tie around the ankle. it was either sevteen or teen vogue that i saw them in.
um...try nordstroms, target, hot topic and old navy....im sure you kind find some like them there

What's a really nice pair of slippers (or a place to buy them from)?
I used to have these pair of slippers from Kohls. They were wonderful...I wore them everywhere. They were kind of like ballet slippers, but they had a fabric strap across the top, and were wider, wool, and more comfortable.
I really want another slipper like this, but I can't find one anywhere! If anyone knows of a really comfortable ballet slipper, please let me know.
Also, if you have a pair of slippers that you just really love, let me know what kind it is and where you got it!
